About Me

My name is LA Foster and I’ve been a full-time potter since 2012. However pottery has been my hobby since 1997.  I have had a variety of occupations: university professor, veterinary nutritionist, veterinarian in a mixed animal practice, construction worker and a farmer.  I would like to have a typical artist statement and say precisely where I am going and what my art means to me.  But in reality, I feel more like my daughter when she was 5 on a playground, using one piece of equipment as hard as she could, and then running off to a different one and going full blast there.   I make sculpture and functional art.  I sell my work at various markets throughout the Netherlands.
